Women's Health Team RN (Per Diem, Day)

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Part-Time

At NorthBay Health, the Center for Women’s Health (CWH) Registered Nurse (RN) works under the direction of the Center for Women’s Health Manager.  Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient.  Supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization. The role of the CWH RN is to deliver safe and timely care to patients either in person, via telephone or patient portal using standardized clinical guidelines, resources, and independent nursing judgment.  The CWH RN has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the CWH department.

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing. 
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing required. 

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Valid and current RN license by the State of California. 
  • Current AHA or equivalent BLS.
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring required, (must obtain within 12 months of hire)
  • Certified Diabetic Educator, preferred.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of one year experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting, specific experience in Women’s Health or Diabetic Education preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of patients, physicians, health care personnel, supervisory staff, and peers.
  • Utilizes critical thinking, applies sound clinical judgment and uses assessment skills for decision making. 
  • Computing skills including experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and data management.
  • Demonstrates the exceptional ability to be organized and efficient in prioritizing and managing assignments with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Knowledge of Standards of federal and state regulations. Diagnosis codes and related guidelines, current standards and trends in health care, best practices, and familiarity with related resources and literature.
  • Familiar with Capitation and Managed Care legislation.
  • Demonstrates the willingness to research, learn, and obtain knowledge for the performance of the position.
  • Demonstrates a courteous professional demeanor at all times while working collaboratively or individually.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Salary Range Min $85.00 - Max $102.44(Offered hourly rate based on years of experience) 
  • 15% per diem differential included in salary range
