Manager, Marketing Strategy and Growth

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

At NorthBay Health, the Manager of Marketing Strategy and Growth is a strategic leadership role that drives visibility, brand growth, and community impact across our expanding regional health system. This position blends leadership, strategic planning and hands-on execution – developing campaigns, managing ambulatory and service line marketing initiatives, and building and activating partnerships that connect patients, physicians and the community to high-quality care. The Manager of Marketing Strategy and Growth will be responsible for:

  • Driving brand visibility and affinity, patient arrivals, retention, and ambulatory growth through integrated marketing campaigns that expand urgent care, primary care, and specialty service line volume.
  • Leading physician marketing initiatives to strengthen referral relationships, enhance reputation, and support physician engagement and recruitment.
  • Managing strategic sports and community partnerships / sponsorships) to increase brand visibility, engagement, and trust across the region. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning & Execution
Use market research and campaign insights to design and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive brand visibility, patient acquisition, ambulatory growth, and service line expansion. Plan and oversee high-visibility campaigns, including new facility launches and reputation-building initiatives. Develop strategies that strengthen patient access and conversion, including insurance coverage awareness, referral and scheduling pathways, while leveraging CRM tools and data insights to track and improve performance. Measure outcomes, analyze performance, and optimize tactics across digital, social, experiential, and traditional channels to maximize ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with physicians, clinic administrators, executives, the Foundation, digital teams, community leaders, creative teams, and external vendors to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals. Build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders to support growth initiatives and reinforce NorthBay Health’s trusted role in the community.

Sports & Community Partnerships
Lead the activation and marketing strategies for sports partnerships, community sponsorships, and local engagement opportunities, positioning NorthBay Health as a visible, trusted partner across the region.

Content Development & Brand Stewardship
Curate, draft, review, and edit marketing content, advertising copy, and digital assets. Ensure brand voice, visuals, and messaging are applied consistently across all campaigns and initiatives.

Project & Budget Management
Oversee timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure campaigns and initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable results.

Team Leadership 
Provide management, coaching, and collaboration support for marketing specialists, contractors, vendors, interns, and cross-functional project teams. Ensure clarity of priorities, accountability, and alignment with strategic objectives.

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Experience:
    • Four years progressively responsible management experience.
    • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably within healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations. Agency experience a plus.
    • Experience in brand management, service line marketing, new facility marketing, campaign execution, and supervisory roles strongly preferred. Sports experience a plus.
    • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and regulations is a plus.
  3. Skills: The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, data-informed decision-making, and hands-on campaign execution.
    • Strong strategic thinking and project leadership abilities
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • High-level proficiency in content development, campaign management, and marketing performance analytics
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
    • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and print production processes
  4. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the True North values.   5. Hours of Work: Monday through Friday; eight hours each day; some weekend and holiday assignments. Optional hybrid schedule with minimum three days a week on-site.
  6. Compensation $135 to $145k annually based on years of experience doing the duties of the role.
