Lead Radiology Technologist (Full Time, Day)

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

At NorthBay Health the Lead Radiology Technologist is a California-certified Radiology technologist (CRTR) with demonstrated expertise and experience in radiographic imaging including computed tomography and fluoroscopic procedures. The Lead Radiology Technologist is responsible for supporting the Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor in coordinating operational activities during normal business hours for the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. The Lead Radiology Tech works collaboratively with the Supervisor in ensuring that high quality, cost effective, client-satisfying service is provided within the fiscal guidelines of the Departmental budgets. Assures compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety, and quality requirements. Participates in ongoing clinical/technical and supervisory continuing education. Maintains a general understanding of hospital and industry issues. Performs other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Maintains clinical competence in Radiology.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the department quality improvement process and is accountable for assigned quality studies.
  • Implements the Radiology and CT staffing plan developed for Diagnostic Imaging by the Supervisor and Director.
  • Monitors personnel compliance with competency standards and required training.
  • Works within established systems to effectively communicate within and across departments.
  • Demonstrates effective department and interdepartmental problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Participates on special projects and interdisciplinary committees as assigned.
  • Participates in community activities that support the department/organization goals.

Education:

  • High school graduate preferred, with two years of college preferred.
  • Graduate of an approved training program for the imaging discipline.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Possession of current California CRT with California Fluoroscopic Permit.
  • AHA or equivalent BLS Certification.
  • ARRT  Radiography (R)required.
  • Possession of a  Venipuncture Permit or documented venipuncture training prior to January 1, 2013, or possession of a Venipuncture Permit with 10 venipunctures after January 1, 2023 and venipunctures completed within 1 month of hire.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years as a CT and Radiology Technologist.

Skills:

  • Ability to perform as a working CT and Radiology Technologist.

Compensation: 

  • Hourly Salary Range $63.79-$77.53 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
