Clinical Nurse II - Cardiac Cath Lab (Observation)
Full Time, 1; Shift hours: Vary starts 6a, 7a, 8a Evening, Weekend and Holiday call rotation required. Call back/Stand-by availability required with 30 minute arrival time

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab Unit you will be expected to provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to our high acuity level patients following Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and the NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for all patients assigned to your care. You will also use a therapeutic professional communication style with the patient and their family along with your interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for the patient. To qualify for this position you need:


  1. Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
  2. Nursing degree of BSN level or higher is required. (excludes grandfathered

License and Certification:

  1. Valid, current and unencumbered RN license issued by the State of California.
  2. Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS
  3. Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment
  4. National Certification in specialty preferred

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Minimum two years of experience in critical care required
  2. One year Pre/Post Cath Lab and/or stress testing preferred.
  3. Demonstrates skills in the areas including but not limited to: advanced patient assessment, monitoring and care of complex patients.
  4. Competent in the assessment, monitoring, and care of patients pre, during, and post procedures within the Cath Lab and Cath Lab Observation.
  5. Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.


  1. All RNs in the Patient Care Services Department are required to wear Graphite (Dark Gray) colored scrubs per the professional appearance policy.
