Nutrition Associate I (on-call, FF)

Fairfield, CA

Job Summary:
At NorthBay Healthcare the Nutrition Associate will works under the management and supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisors, Manager and Director.  Maintains state and federally mandated standards of safety and cleanliness while performing tasks that include but are not limited to: cold food preparation and production, hot food preparation and production, meal distribution within and between the healthcare facilities, sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment, tray-line meal assembly and production, product inventory and ordering. Participates in departmental activities and in projects and programs.  Responsible for inventory and ordering of products as assigned. Emphasis on pot and pan washing and general cleaning.  

1. High school graduate.

Licensure and Certification:
1. Current Safe Food Handler’s certificate required.
2.  If duties include driving the Nutrition Services transport truck, a clean driving record is required, along with annual submittal of DMV driving record when requested.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

1. One year food service experience, within the last 3 years, with hot and cold food production and customer service required. 
2. Healthcare or institutional food service food service preferred.
3. Hot and cold food production, ability to work with a variety of individual personalities and ability to adapt to changing conditions.
4. Knowledge of sanitation, safety and infection control procedures.
