Senior Systems Analyst – Specialty Practices

Full Time, FTE: 1; 
NorthBay Health Plaza Bldg
Fairfield, CA

At NorthBay Healthcare this position reports to the director of Clinical systems and is the primary application support and software administrator for the clinical systems in use in the NorthBay ambulatory specialty practices. The responsibilities of system administration and support include the architectural design and support of integration between the EHR systems and other systems used in the care and treatment of patients as well as general practice management functions in these units. This position requires an in-depth understanding of outpatient practice workflows specific to these practices including but not limited to scheduling, registration, scanning, medication processes, and physician and nursing documentation and orders. This requires the incumbent to work closely with all stakeholders and peers to understand the requirements of all aspects of the business units and the relationship to information systems and automation solutions to ensure organizational and divisional standards are achieved.  The position will sometimes require leadership of other IT professionals and system users to assure the timely and accurate completion of system designs and implementations.  The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of the operations of an integrated healthcare delivery system, have working experience in the development and/or implementation of clinical patient records, and be proven in the project management skills needed to independently manage projects.  The incumbent uses experience to recognize when to escalate problems to the Manager but otherwise uses excellent judgement in dealing with daily issues as they arise.

1. Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent in experience in IS healthcare field.
2. Licensure: Clinical license preferred e.g. Registered Nurse, License Vocational Nurse, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, etc.
3. Experience:  Minimum 5 years in healthcare information technology with system administration responsibilities. Minimum of 3 years providing ambulatory practice support in some meaningful capacity.
4. Skills:  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Project management skills related to implementing healthcare systems required.
