Interim Clinical Manager- 1800 Acute Care
At NorthBay Healthcare the Clinical Manager is a Registered Nurse who has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the clinical and operational management of the Acute Care unit at NorthBay Medical Center. The Clinical Manager’s role is to promote the provision of effective, high quality patient care to all patients. The following responsibilities are included: oversight of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, management of human, fiscal and other resources, development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, and fostering of interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships within the assigned units and between other departments within the organization.
The Clinical Manager works collaboratively with the Clinical Practice Manager, Organizational Development, Department Director, and other Clinical Managers to develop and validate the clinical competency of staff. The Clinical Manager collaborates with physicians in order to establish a collegial and interdisciplinary patient care environment.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required, Master’s Degree preferred.
- One of the degrees must be in nursing.
Licensure:
- Current California RN License.
- Current AHA or equivalent BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Related National Certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 of years’ clinical nursing experience in a telemetry care setting
- Trauma experience preferred.
- Supervisory experience/training required.
Skills:
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the Post-Surgical Care area with an understanding of the complete perioperative patient experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Possesses teaching ability, leadership ability, and high professional standards.
- Must be well organized, be able to set priorities, work independently and is an effective team member.
- Word Processing and Excel skills required.
Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to interact in a professional manner with administration, medical staff, and hospital personnel as well as external customers.
Compensation for interim assignments are in addition to the candidates current positions is up to 5% above current rate of pay.
