Cardiopulmonary Equipment & Lift Tech (Part time, Evenings)

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Part-Time

At NorthBay Health the Cardiopulmonary Equipment and Lift Technician is responsible and accountable for the maintenance of patient equipment, supplies, and the support of patient positioning and patient mobility completed under the direction of the ICU and Respiratory care shift supervisors. The Cardiopulmonary Equipment and Lift Technician maintains patient care equipment, supplies, and carts in a patient ready status, including cleaning, daily maintenance, processing, and set up of patient care equipment. In collaboration with the supply chain and central/sterile processing teams, the Cardiopulmonary Technician will stock, track inventory and identify supplies needed and then ensure the needs are fulfilled.

  • Education:  High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Licensure:  Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS required.
  • Experience: 1 year working as a CNA, Lift, or sterile processing background experience preferred.
  • Skills:   Able to follow complex instructions involving task lists and duties covering an assigned work period. Demonstrates the ability to organize assigned duties and tasks; respond to requests for service; and prioritize department expectations in order to accomplish regular and flex assignments within an assigned shift.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, patients, physicians, and co-workers.  Ability to remain flexible, self-motivated, and positive within a rapidly changing patient care environment.
  • Standards of Performance: Demonstrate performance by adhering to established policies and procedures and exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality.  Attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Physical Skills:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
  • Physical Effort:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Requires lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and fine motor skills. Have ability to perform data entry functions on a computer keyboard, and manipulate small instruments and packages. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Hours of Work: 0600-1430, or 1430-0000.  Rotation of weekends and 4 days 1st week 3 days 2nd week per pay period. 

Compensation: Hourly salary range MIN $22.81    -   MAX $25.21       (offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
