Trauma Program Registrar - NBMC (Full Time, Day)
At NorthBay Health the Trauma Registrar position reports to the Trauma Program Director and has operational responsibility for the Trauma Registry and for ensuring that the Trauma Registry information is current, accurate and complete. This injury-related database is integral to the clinical, performance improvement and research activities of the trauma service. This position functions independently in the acquisition of accurate data for all patients meeting Trauma Registry inclusion criteria, as required by Solano County Emergency Medical Services Authority, the state of California trauma regulations and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACSCOT).
This position also serves as a member of the trauma multidisciplinary committee and attends the peer review committee for trauma and attends and/or participates in committee meetings internally and externally as needed. The Registrar also performs presentations, special projects, such as statistical reports for state, federal, and local agencies including data exports to regulatory bodies. The Registrar also provides assistance to the Trauma Program Director and the Trauma Medical Director in the formulation of program goals and objectives.
Education:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in healthcare field.
Licensure:
- Certification in a medical related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of previous direct registry experience at a trauma center and/or medical group information systems implementations, analysis and design and at least limited programming skills.
- Solid knowledge of coding systems preferred.
- Knowledge of database management and Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power point required.
Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, proven project management skills preferred.
Interpersonal Skills:
Requires effective communication and ability to work in a team environment.
Work requires high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and ability to function independently.
Must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize a large volume of work in order to complete not only daily duties of the job but also any projects that may be assigned.
Compensation:
- Hourly Salary Range Min $40.06 - Max $48.71 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)

Compensation Structure
NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.
