Director, Primary and Urgent Care
At NorthBay Health, the Director of Primary Care and Urgent Care provides strategic and operational leadership for the health system’s ambulatory division, overseeing the development, performance, and growth of primary care and urgent care services. This role operates in a dyad partnership with the Chief of Primary Care and the Medical Director of Urgent Care, ensuring a collaborative approach to clinical and operational excellence. Together, they drive patient-centered care, optimize service delivery, and enhance access while aligning with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
This position reports directly to the Chief of Ambulatory Operations and is responsible for leading operational efficiencies, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and patient experience initiatives.
The Director collaborates closely with ambulatory and hospital leaders, as well as other senior executives, to align primary and urgent care services with broader organizational priorities and system-wide strategic initiatives. Additionally, the Director serves as a mentor and coach for emerging leaders, fostering leadership development and strengthening management capabilities across primary and urgent care services. This position plays a critical role in shaping the future of ambulatory care within NorthBay, ensuring patients receive high-quality, accessible, and efficient care across primary and urgent care settings.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or a related field required
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in ambulatory care, primary care, or urgent care settings.
Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare operations, financial management, and strategic planning. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills with experience in a dyad leadership model preferred.
- Knowledge of value-based care, population health management, and ambulatory growth strategies.
Interpersonal Skills:

Compensation:
- $195K to $205K based on years of experience doing the duties of the role.
