Physician, OB/GYN Hospitalist (Full Time)

Role and Responsibilities:
- Practice Information
- Position Type: Full-time or Part
- Call Schedule: 24-hour in-
- EMR: Cerner - transition to EPIC 10/2026
- Provider Support: Collaborative team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals
- Census: 135 average births per month (split amongst two physicians)
Facility Information:
- 154-bed hospital
- 8-bed labor unit
- 13-bed postpartum unit
- 16-bed Level 3 NICU
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Training: Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
- Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Licensure: Valid and active medical license in California.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred.
- Experience: At least one (1) year of experience preferred, though recent residency graduates will also be considered.
Skills:
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and general computer skills.
Employed Compensation and Perks:
- Income Guarantee : $436,800
- Sign On Bonus up to $50,000
- Relocation available for qualified candidates up to $20,000

Compensation Structure
NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.
Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
