Oracle Cloud Integration Engineer

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

At NorthBay Health, the Oracle Could Integration Engineer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise integrations supporting the Oracle Cloud ecosystem. The role focuses on developing and maintaining integrations between Oracle ERP Cloud and other enterprise applications using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including the use of Cloud Adapters, REST/SOAP web services, and File-Based Data Import/Export (FBDI).

The Oracle Cloud Integration Engineer analyzes business and technical requirements to design scalable and secure integration solutions that enable reliable data exchange across financial, supply chain, and human resource systems. This role is responsible for building and maintaining integration workflows, managing data conversions, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and optimizing integration performance.

In addition to integration responsibilities, this position supports administration and optimization of Oracle Cloud financial applications, including General Financials, Supply Chain, and Human Capital Management modules, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

 

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  1. Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations between Oracle ERP Cloud and enterprise systems using Oracle Integration Cloud, leveraging cloud adapters, APIs, web services, and file-based integration methods.Develop and maintain data conversion processes, data mappings, and integration workflows using REST/SOAP services, FBDI, and Oracle Cloud integration tools. Creates test plans, defines test cases, executes test scripts, and performance QA processes for automation of data extracts. 
  2. Implement integration best practices including error handling, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization to ensure reliable data exchange between systems. 
  3. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements, understand workflows, and design integration solutions that improve business processes and system interoperability.
  4. Evaluate current integration processes and recommend improvements or automation opportunities to optimize the use of Oracle Cloud technologies. 
  5. Develop integration test plans, define test cases, execute testing cycles, and validate data accuracy across integrated systems. 
  6. Support system implementation activities including integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployment. 
  7. Design, develop, and maintain reports and data extracts using Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) to support operational and financial reporting needs.
  8. Support system administration activities for Oracle financial and operational applications, ensuring system stability, performance, and security.
  9. Monitor application security, access controls, and data management practices to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. 
  10. Evaluate and implement Oracle Cloud updates, patches, and new features; assess the impact of system upgrades and develop adoption strategies.
  11. Monitor integration performance and proactively identify opportunities to enhance system functionality and operational efficiency.
  12. Provide advanced technical support as a Tier 3 resource for Oracle Cloud applications and integrations, troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions.
  13. Manage and prioritize service requests, providing regular updates on work in progress, new requests, and completed tasks.
  14. Communicate technical risks, issues, and project status to management and relevant stakeholders.
  15. Follow IT governance standards including change management, ITIL practices, and organizational policies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems and data.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 8 years of experience in Oracle system administration.

  • Licensure/Certification:  None required.

  • Experience: Eight (8)+ years of overall experience with relevant data migration and Integration experience for Business Applications. Three (3)+ years of experience in leading and implementing data migrations and integrations between Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, and other applications. Experience with API’s, REST/SOAP based web services available in Oracle Cloud ERP, and strong SQL skills required. Experience with test plans, test cases, test scripts, QA process, and automation of data extracts required. 3 years minimum experience with Oracle’s Integration Cloud (OIC), cloud adaptor, and connectors, Oracle PaaS (OIC, DBaaS, VBCs), OTBI, and BI Publisher Preferred. Certification in Oracle ERP Cloud SOA, Cloud Architecture preferred. Experience working in healthcare IT preferred. 

  •  Skills: Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Hours of Work: Normally works eight-hour day.  Hours will vary according to work demands and project requirements; may require on-call support.

  • Must be in a commutable distance. 

  • Compensation: $62.35 - $81.65 exempt, Max rate is commensurate of 20+ years experience.
