Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer
The Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO) is responsible for the brand, image, and the positioning of NorthBay Health. He/she will be responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications including brand, consumer and patient research, advertising, internal and external communications, media relations, website, community benefits, sponsorships, and social media. In addition, the CMCO is responsible for the digital patient experience and for collaborating with partners to create and communicate a consistently positive consumer-centric service experience across the organization that leads to lifetime loyalty.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and a member of senior leadership, she/he will have significant interaction with the CEO and executives throughout the organization. The role will require significant board and community interaction.
Education:
- Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s Degree- Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field preferred.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10-15 years in increasingly senior marketing position within a health system or related healthcare organization
- Experience in community-based health care system preferred with prior responsibilities for strategic marketing and communications services including internal and external communications, media relations, sponsorship and outreach, community benefit, CRM tools, other digital strategies including content marketing, social media, website, brand, campaign development, survey techniques and market research, and vendor/agency management.
- Experience in patient and customer experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of the health care industry
- Well versed in all aspects of digital consumer engagement, website design and governance, and social and content marketing.
- Knowledgeable in the areas of consumer-focused journey mapping, marketing strategies, public and community relations, employee communications, publications, media relationships, and crisis management.
- Has a leadership philosophy consistent with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Policies of NorthBay Health
- Ability to communicate, organize and implement plans effectively and professionally in concert with various individuals and groups of people, often under pressure or difficult circumstances.
- Adept communicator with advanced writing and editing skill.
- In depth knowledge of HIPPA Privacy Provisions.
- An organized and proficient project manager

Compensation:
- Annual salary range $250K - MAX $320K (MAX salary is commensurate of 20+ years experience in a VP role)
- Eligible for annual incentive bonus optimum achievement up to 35% of annualized salary.
