Assistant Vice President, Strategic Program Develoment

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

At NorthBay Health, the AVP, Strategic Program Development is responsible for establishing new services that expand the NorthBay Health portfolio of services to help attract new consumers in the network and enhance the brand and reputations of the system.  This role will work with providers, departments, and other stakeholders to help identify opportunities and oversee their implementation and integration within the network. The role will help bring new services that currently don’t exist in the NorthBay portfolio. In some cases, the role will provide the oversight of the program or work with operation to jointly oversee the success of the service. This role will interact with numerous third parties.

Primary Job Duties:

  1. Serves as the leader for new strategic programs and services that are created  

  2. Works with stakeholders to ensure the success of these programs

  3. Brings innovative solutions to reach new consumer and markets and enhance the brand of the organization

  4. Provides solutions to solve problems that traditional healthcare thinking and approach don’t work or apply 

  5. Understands the regulatory and compliance issues that may present with these services and actively works for solutions

  6. Helps select the facilities and aesthetics require to make these programs successful

  7. Understand the consumers for these services and helps establish the pricing and other considerations to bring them to market.

  8. Works directly with the EVP of Strategy and Business Development to plan for the launch of services and assist with future planning 

  9. Work with stakeholder outside the organization to plan and position these services including but not limited to hospitality, real estate, technology, ancillary companies, and other related parties

  10. Able to position the organization to accept all forms of payment from consumers to provide these services

  11. Ensure these programs remain consumer focused and deliver the highest level of experience 

  1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, required. Masters preferred.

  2. Licensure:  None

  3. Experience:  Five (5) or more years of experience in strategy, planning, analysis, finance, and/or business development, preferably within a healthcare environment at Director level. Eight (8) or more years of progressive experience as a manager. Proven capabilities in building strong, trusted relationships with partners and collaborators and ability to positively influence them. Experience in managing large projects with complex analytical and strategic components, Requires continuous interaction with all levels of leadership and physician leaders.

  4. Skills:  Highly effective presentation skills. Thorough knowledge of a variety of software programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.  Knowledge of third parties to help deliver services and how to integrate into existing systems. Experience in concierge medicine, aesthetics, and destination medicine programs. Superb written, verbal and critical thinking skills. Strong financial acumen. Display a high degree of initiative, judgment and maturity. Ability to work with groups of all sizes; to prioritize work without compromising the required goals of the job; strong communication skills (written and oral). 

  5. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the True North values.   6. Hours of Work:  Based on business need.

  7. Compensation:  $240 to $270k based on years of experience doing the duties of the role.  This position is bonus eligible.
