Physician Assistant\\Nurse Practitioner, Urology

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

At NorthBay Health the Advanced Practice Professional a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)  – Specialty is required to function as a member of the multidisciplinary medical management team. The Physician Assistant is a health care professional with advanced education and training in the care of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.  The PA works under the direction of a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant is also directed by standardized protocols and procedures and in collaboration with the supervising physician.

Education: 

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program approved by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). 

  • Or Master’s required. Graduate of an accredited nursing program including a Nurse Practitioner Program.

   Licensure/Credentials: 

  • Current Physician Assistant licensure by the State of California Physician Assistant Examining Committee and Board Certified. 

  • OR Current California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Board Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. 

  • Current AHA or equivalent certification in CPR.          

  • Maintains a current DEA license for schedule 2 drugs and above. 

  • Maintains a current Furnishing Number for medications

  Experience: 

  • Experience as a Physician Assistant practicing in a related field, or completion of internship in primary care at NorthBay. 

  • OR Two years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner OR four years of clinical experience as a Nurse, OR completion of internship at NorthBay Health.  One year of experience in related field and ambulatory care preferred.

Skills: 

  • Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient’s physical and emotional status. 

  • Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs. 

  • Demonstrates current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: adult, adolescent, pediatric and geriatric.   

  • Ability to use computer, MS Word, Outlook, telephone. Knowledge of Cerner preferred.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills: 

  1. Experience as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner practicing in a related field, or completion of internship in primary care at NorthBay.
  2. Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient’s physical and emotional status. 
  3. Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs with current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: adult, adolescent, pediatric and geriatric.  
  4. Ability to use computer, MS Word, Outlook, telephone.
  5. Knowledge of Cerner Patient Health Record System preferred.  
  6. Bilingual Preferred.

Compensation:

  • Physician Assistant hourly pay range: $88 -$107 
  • Nurse Practitioner pay range:  $93 - $113  
  • Max rate listed commensurate of 20+ years as an NP or PA

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

Remote Work Disclosure

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.

Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
