Physician, Urgent Care (Full-time Float)

At NorthBay Health, we are looking for a Board-Certified, Licensed Urgent Care Physician to join our respected health system in Northern California.

Our Urgent Care centers provide high-quality, immediate care for non-life-threatening conditions, with compassionate staff and easy access to a comprehensive network of specialists if needed. As part of our team, you’ll be integral in delivering timely care to patients in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Outpatient only
  • Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art medical equipment and comprehensive resources
  • Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Consult with patients to assess urgent care needs and determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Recommend and order diagnostic tests to evaluate illnesses and injuries
  • Monitor lab results and medication adherence
  • Prescribe treatments, therapies, medications, and vaccinations as necessary
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, test results, and treatment options
  • Refer patients to specialists when needed
  • Actively participate in hospital committees and initiatives
  • Collaborate with and supervise APPs to enhance patient care

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related field
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
  • Proven experience in urgent care or emergency medicine settings
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Compensation and Perks:

  • Annual Compensation Range: $333,000  
  • Supervision: $12,000 per year per 1.0 FTE APP
  • Signing Bonus: up to $30,000
  • Retention Bonus (beginning at the completion of the 2nd year): up to $30,000 per year
  • Relocation bonus: Up to $10,000 (based on location)
  • Emphasis on positive work-life balance
